Vital Path Travel Medicine was born from the unique partnership between Sara Levin, FNP-C, and Patrick Brichta, FNP-C—two emergency medicine specialists who understand that adventure shouldn't come at the cost of safety. Sara brings over 15 years of experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, and integrative medicine, while Patrick contributes his 15 years of dedicated emergency medicine expertise and deep passion for the outdoors. As an avid hunter, camper, and wilderness enthusiast, Patrick has experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing medical care in remote locations and understands the critical importance of emergency preparedness. Together, they recognized a significant gap in the market: outdoor and travel enthusiasts venturing into remote areas often lack access to proper medical resources when emergencies arise. Combining their extensive emergency medicine backgrounds with Patrick's real-world outdoor experience, Vital Path Travel Medicine creates comprehensive medication kits and resources specifically designed for adventurers, travelers, and outdoor enthusiasts who refuse to let distance from civilization compromise their safety.
Our Story
Vital Path Medicine was born from love—both for each other and for providing exceptional healthcare where it's needed most. Sara and Patrick Brichta, both Family Nurse Practitioners with over 15 years of emergency medicine experience each, founded Vital Path Medicine after recognizing a critical gap in accessible, personalized healthcare.
As a married couple who share both a life together and a passion for emergency medicine, Sara and Patrick bring complementary strengths to their practice. Sara's expertise spans emergency medicine, urgent care, integrative medicine, and medical weight loss, with a Master of Science in Nursing from George Washington University. Patrick has dedicated his entire 15-year career exclusively to emergency medicine, developing unparalleled expertise in rapid diagnosis and emergency protocols.
But their story extends beyond hospital walls. Patrick's love for hunting, camping, and wilderness adventures opened their eyes to the unique challenges faced by outdoor enthusiasts and travelers in remote locations. Too often, they witnessed people avoiding adventures or taking unnecessary risks simply because proper medical care seemed out of reach.
